Tokyo is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It combines the ultramodern with the traditional. Through the throngs and bustle of people in a very cosmopolitan city, one can find escape with the locals in a Japanese Izakaya, or a popular French fusion cafe. One can explore the past in the traditional temples and shrines, but also witness the future in Akihabara, the city's electronics district.
Please join Khalid Hameed and Zubair Hameed as they take a photographic journey through Tokyo.
Join them on Saturday June 4th, for a free and open to all ages show. Complimentary French wine and light Hors d'oeuvres will be offered.
Kahwa S, at 2nd and 2nd.

In celebration of the tremendous life of The Amsterdam, I, Mark Etherington aka Mountain Holler will be perfomring one last time in the bar that gave me a home to showcase my music so many, many nights.
Some of the best expereinces I have had playing in my whole career happened within the brick walls known as The Amsterdam. Those brick walls were a fotrtress for music, art and people and the city of St. Petersburg owes a lot to it's staff, John Cullen and Zoie Torres for hosting such a welcoming atmosphere and creating a sacred place to cultivate this growing cities underground culture.
In honor of The Amsterdam and it's life I will be plyaing everything I know how to play. I'm not sure how long of a set it will end up being or if I even remember how to play all of my own songs but, it true Amsterdam fashion, we'll just plug in and see what happenes.
So, friends, please join me in giving thanks and love to a place that gave thanks and love one hundred percent of the time. No cover, bring something to sit on the ground with if you want. Bring candles or inscence, whatever you desire, but come share in this night with me.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
It's hard to have any complaints about this place. It's easy to get a drink since they actually keep enough bartenders working at once, and at venue NYC you'll almost always find a place to sit. I love the vibe, the area, the people and the food at this place.
