Street Art: Madonna and...manchild. Love on the Street
This Gustav Klimt-inspired Madonna lovingly holds a somewhat lascivious-looking manchild to her breast on a door inset into a building. There are many things to like in this image. The hair on both figures is beautifully done, the subtlety in the facial and body gestures, those ferns by her hair, and more. They embrace eternally on a door, inset into a building, on a busy road, invisible, bypassed by the many who walk/drive by looking forward every day.
As long as we're on the subject of love, I thought I would pull this out of the Art Taco vaults, a neon-red heart with an arched line through it, a hand signing peace below it, and a nonchalant head wearing headphones.
Look around you. Art is everywhere -- and so is Love.
