This Last Harry Potter Movie Weekend: July 14th - 17th

Pattern Play @ Florida Craftsmen - Textile and other materials are used in this art exhibit curated by Jorge Vidal featuring Artists Sarah Gross, Jennifer Cecere, Cosme Herrera, Catherine Woods and Michelle Weinberg. They investigate pattern for its meaning and effect on the surrounding space, using it to explore man’s relationship to nature, the relationship between East and West and the inevitable passing of time.

Cold Dead Hands @ Tempus Projects - Matt Normand, assistant professor at USF St Pete, presents a series of animations based on NRA President's comment and the movies he starred in from Planet of the Apes. TRA' shion Show @ Art Pool - One of Art Pool's premier events. A large fashion show of recycled materials and ingenious thinking.  This is their fourth year with this event, and Marina and company are launching an 80 page coffee table book with the fashions shown. Saturday, July 16th, 8:00 PM to Midnight. 919 First Ave North, St Petersburg. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 day of show.

Cool Art Show @ Coliseum - During the hot season, this show is a Godsend. Held in the beautiful Coliseum ballroom, in air conditioning. 75 artists. 535 4th Avenue N.

Beach Balls, Chilhuly Anniversary & The Morean - Chilhuly's been open now for one year and it is celebrating by having people write "love note" messages to the artist on beach balls, which will be hung up. The Collection will drop admission from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to $5 (I would suggest getting in line very early for that). Beach Drive in front of the Chilhuly will close and ballet and fire dancers, and marching band drummers will perform. All on Saturday, July 17th.

Crop @ Centre Gallery -  A show on mind and body, at USF's Centre Gallery, Opens on Friday, July 16th, 7:00 - 9:00 PM, 10AM - 5 PM - Mon through thursday, through Julky 22.. 4202 E. FowlerAvenue, Tampa. Admission is free, but parking is $5.
