Josh De Weese, Expressions in Form @ Mindy Solomon - The artist's first solo show. See The Morean Glass Christmas Tree, Worst Holiday Photograph @ The Morean Arts Center (MAC) - Learn to make your own blown-glass ornament at the MAC Hot Shop from one of their teachers. $75.00 Tuition. Christmas glass tree is across MAC Hot Shop. Nine feet tall, handmade.

They will be judged by experts and be up in the Lounge until Jan. 2, 2012. Two prizes: A First-Place $100 gift card to Publix, 2nd place gets $50.

Also, MAC has a do it yourself Family Photo Studio where you can take your family's holiday pics against a Christmasy backdrop. Great idea.

In My House Reception @ Duncan McClellan Glass - Functional objects, hyperreal paintings, all in a unique setting, beautifully hosted by DMG and his staff. This is a great event. 2342 Emerson Ave. S. St. Pete. (Take Central to 24th, turn South. Go about 3 minutes, and you'll go through some residential streets, then into an industrial area. Emerson comes up immediately. DMG is the green warehouse-like building on the left. There is parking across the street in front of it.
