The Earliest Figurative Painting?

Is this the earliest figurative painting found to date? It is one of six found in the cave of Nerjas in Malaga, Spain. Carbon dating puts them at around 42,000BC. They are depictions of seals done on stalactites in the cave. Scientists believe they were done by Neanderthals, before the rise of Homo Sapiens. Neanderthals hunted and ate the seals in the area. Up to now, they were thought incapable of doing art like this.
