St. Pete’s Biggest DIY Venue Hosts Grassroots Legend

Electrician w/ Permanent Makeup, Y Los Dos Pistoles, Ten Acres, Bootlicker
Tuesday, December 11th, 8pm
The Venture Compound, 2621 Fairfield Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL

Oakland, CA’s Neil Campau, also known as Electrician, writes songs about social war and relationships.  His electro-folk sound has been compared to Bill Callahan, Will Oldham, and Phil Elverum.  He was previously part of the anarchist-folk duo World History . . . but he is probably best known as the founder of DoDIY.org.

We here at Venture don’t have wealthy patrons – we don’t have much of anything but passion.  So we owe a lot to Neil Campau and people like him, and we’re proud to welcome him to our home, be it ever so humble.

Show lineup:
Permanent Makeup (punk from Tampa) http://permanentmakeup.bandcamp.com/
Electrician (electro folk from Oakland, CA) http://electricianmusic.bandcamp.com/
Y Los Dos Pistoles (noisy indie rock/garage pop from Tampa) http://ylosdospistoles.bandcamp.com/
Ten Acres (post folk indie by John Allen from Set and Setting) http://tenacres.bandcamp.com/
Bootlicker (Folk Punk by Alex Nadeau from Blast and the Detergents and Ghost Hospital and Will Kilgore)
Admission $5.
