2nd Saturday Art Walk
Saturday, September 14th

Free
Start your Art Walk at Craftsman House - opening reception of our 1st Block Show.  Walk across the street to Nuance Galleries, then hop on this month's FREE trolley that will loop through the bubbling Warehouse Arts District, and connect on Central Avenue to the downtown waterfront.  The trolley starts at Craftsman House at 5pm, & will make continuous loops until 9pm. 
Congratulations to Jill Brown for winning Art Association St. Petersburg's logo contest!  Her winning logo (shown above) is now the new logo for our city's Arts Association.




1st Block Art Show
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 14th (During Art Walk)

Come into Craftsman House & pick up a free 1st Block sticker.  The city of St. Petersburg started at our 1st Block with the arrival of the railroad & the opening of the Detroit Hotel.  Craftsman House joins St. Petersburg Preservation in putting the spotlight on our historic 1st Block, & asking our city council to protect the block by placing it on the local historic registry.

The 1st Block of our city is bordered by: 2nd & 3rd Streets, and Central Avenue & 1st Avenue North.

9th Annual Pot Roast -- Charity Pottery Raffle

Pot Roast recently won the national Niche Top Retailer Award for the "Best Charitable Event in the US".  Our biggest event of the year!
Potters donate work which we load into the large kiln.  Once the kiln is fired, we unload the work & raffle off dozens of pots.
All proceeds are donated to Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+), which helps out artists in times of need.
Buy a bowl and fill it up with complimentary pot roast or veggie stew.
Buy a tumbler & fill it up with complimentary iced tea or beer.

Marc Black in concert

An electic folk-rocker who carries the Woodstock tradition of dealing with life with all its social & political challenges...one song at a time.  Marc plays a finger style blues in the tradition of Mississippi John Hurt, & Lightning Hopkins.  He was named folk artist of the year on ABC Radio's Fame Games and has performed with Art Garfunkel, Pete Seeger, Taj Mahal, & Richie Haven to name a few.  Marc's song "No Fracking Way" has become a worldwide anthem for the anti-fracking movement.
