The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library Summer Tour 2013, Orlando.

[From the Lost Files of the odd Summer of 2013]

The Sketchbook Project is a crowdsourced library of nearly 30,000 individually made notebooks. People pay to get a notebook, which they draw, paint, collage, etc on, send back, and 4,500 of them make it onto the mobile library, which travels throughout the US. One of those stops was in Orlando Florida on July 3rd at the Gallery at Avalon Island in downtown Orlando. A kind friend invited me along to see this (Thank you!). It was a truly great day. Here are a very few pictures from the experience...for more information, go here: [Link]

This is a great egalitarian project that anyone can participate in. The authors range from raw beginners to near-master artists. A special note of thanks to Jennifer Kosharek for inviting me to ride shotgun on this trip/event.
