I was saddened to read in today's papers that the Roosevelt 2.0 has closed. The experimental space tried a lot of new ideas that were promising, but in the end, it didn't generate enough revenues to pay the rent.
Pioneers often have severe setbacks, in spite of pushing sound and sustainable futuristic agendas. The indoor spice garden, the natural bar, hippie ambiance, arts supplies and more will be sorely missed by the community. Good luck to all the Rooseveltians in the future!
