First Saturday Indie Market #6 - Arts, crafts, books, jewelry, small gardens and more are for sale on the 600 block of Central Avenue in St. Pete. Music usually plays near the State Theater. 10AM - 4 PM. Free Admission.

Ichiyo Florida School of Ikebana Anniversary Celebration @ Allegro - It's the 30th Anniversary celebration, opening Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM, and Sunday. All at Allegro @ College Harbor, 4600 54th Ave. S., St Pete. Free admission.

Invisible Elephant: Theo Wucjik and Kirk Ke Wang @ Polk Museum of Art - Two of or premier artists in one show. Opens Saturday at the PMA, 800 E. Palmetto St., Lakeland. Free on Sat. from 10 AM to Noon. Otherwise, it's Tuesday through Sat. 10 AM - 5 PM and $5 admission.

Global + Local @ St Pete Museum of Fine Arts - A dazzling show of glass from many of the medium's masters and local artists. It's a great overview of the contemporary glass scene. While there go to the upstairs gallery and see the now nostalgic-looking Soviet propaganda pictures (which look a lot like the pictures from the FSA from around the same time). I think admission is close to $20. 255 Beach Drive N.E., St Pete (and keep an eye on the meter, the 2 hrs go by fast).
